Robin’s Real Estate Review – January 2011
Monday, January 3rd, 20112010 marks the lowest number of single family home sales in Calgary since 1995, the worst year in 15 years. Sales in 2010 were down about 16% from 2009. In 2006 buyers had to expect to pay more when purchasing a home, and now sellers have to expect to receive less when selling their home. Since June of 2010, there has been a slight surplus of properties on the market and a shortage of buyers. For the coming months, sellers need to be mindful of these facts if they want to successfully sell their homes.
